Name: Swing Check Valve
Swing check valve is a valve that can automatically prevent fluid backflow. Its valve disc automatically opens under the action of fluid pressure, and fluid flows from the inlet side to the outlet side; When the pressure on the inlet side is lower than that on the outlet side, the valve disc automatically closes under the influence of factors such as fluid pressure difference and self weight to prevent fluid backflow. Widely used in pipeline systems such as metallurgy, power plants, refineries, and petrochemical plants.
1、 Main features
1. The structure is simple, the action is reliable, and the fluid resistance is lower than that of a lift check valve, making it suitable for larger caliber applications.
2. It can automatically open with the help of fluid pressure.
3. Only applicable in unidirectional media.
2、 Technical specifications
1. Nominal pressure: 1.6-75MPa
2. Nominal diameter: DN50-1000mm
Casting materials: CF3m, CF3, CF8m, CF8, CF8c, WCB, 20crmov, 15Cr1mov, WC6, WC9
Forging materials: A105, 20 #, 12cr1mov, F22, F91, 304, 316, 316L
3、 Adopting standards
1. Design standard: GB 12236-89
2. Inspection and Testing Standards: JB/T 9092-1999
3. Structural length: GB 12221-1989
4. Flange connection size: JB79-1994

1. Valves should be stored indoors in a relatively dry environment.
2. Valves stored for a long time should be regularly inspected for the integrity of the cover plates at both ends, cleaned of dust and dirt, and coated with anti rust oil on the valve processing surface to prevent corrosion.
3. Before installation, first check the valve markings to determine if the valve meets the requirements, then remove the cover plates at both ends and clean the valve thoroughly.
4. When closing, simply cut off the medium.
6、 Possible faults and troubleshooting methods
| Fault |
Cause |
Remedy |
|
Leakage at joint between valve body and bonnet |
1. Bolts are not tightened or unevenly tightened.2. Flange surface is damaged or contaminated.3. Gasket failure. |
1. Retighten the bolts evenly after system depressurization.2. Repair the sealing surface and remove contaminants.3. Replace the gasket. |
|
Leakage at disc sealing area |
1. Foreign matter trapped on the sealing surface.2. Sealing surface is damaged. |
1. Thoroughly clean.2. Repair the damaged sealing surface. |
|
Stiff operation of valve (hard to open/close) |
1. Worn, bent or deformed pin shaft |
1. Replace the pin shaft |
Safety Operation Notes: The connecting bolts of bonnet-to-valve body and side flange-to-pipeline shall only be loosened and adjusted after the system is fully depressurized.
