Working principle of Y-shaped globe valve 

The Y-shaped globe valve is a widely used valve. Its popularity stems from several factors: low friction between sealing surfaces during opening and closing, durability, small opening height, ease of manufacturing, convenient maintenance, and its adaptability to both medium and low pressures as well as high pressures. Its closing mechanism relies on the pressure of the valve stem to ensure the valve disc sealing surface fits tightly with the valve seat sealing surface, thereby preventing the flow of medium. Globe valves permit only unidirectional flow of medium and require directional installation. Compared to gate valves, globe valves have a longer structural length and greater fluid resistance, which can compromise their sealing reliability during long-term operation.
